2017 Lincoln MKT For Sale In Hawthorne
The 2017 Lincoln MKT is a full-size luxury crossover that's been in production now since 2009 as a 2010 model year. It was originally unveiled a year earlier in 2008 at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit, before it took its place in the Lincoln range above the midsize Lincoln MKX and below the Lincoln Navigator full-size SUV. If you want genuine luxury coupled with SUV practicality and the carlike driving experience of a crossover for less than many foreign offerings in this class, the Lincoln MKT is where you should be looking.
Lots of today's crossovers of all sizes and classes seem to be adopting a somewhat predictable and homogenous look, which can make choosing between them almost a chore instead of an exciting and pleasurable experience. It's not an accusation that can be levelled at the 2017 Lincoln MKT though, as even after seven years it's still a vehicle that stands out from the crowd. A model that's been around for such a period of time really should be looking at least a little dated by now, but the Lincoln MKT design was so ahead of its time it still looks more contemporary than some considerably more recently arrived rivals.
The Lincoln MKT works equally as well as an executive shuttle as it does as a luxurious family wagon. Buyers can specify their Lincoln MKT as a six-passenger version with twin bucket seats in the first two rows and a two-seat bench in the rear, or alternatively, as a seven-seater where the middle row of captain's chairs are replaced with a bench seat. There's plenty of leg and headroom throughout, and the build quality and materials are more than worthy of the luxury billing. Add into the mix the wide-opening rear doors that make getting in and out of the second and third-rows nice and easy, and it's easy to see how wide an audience this vehicle can appeal to.
Engines and Trims
Lincoln keeps things as simple as imaginable when it comes to trims and engine options as there are just two trims for the 2017 Lincoln MKT that are designated by the engine they come with. The standard trim is the Lincoln MKT, which features a 3.7-liter Ti-VCT 24-valve V-6 engine developing 303 horsepower and 279 lb.-ft. of torque. That impressive amount of power is then sent to the front wheels through a six-speed SelectShift® automatic transmission with paddle activation that's standard with both trims. The other trim is the Lincoln MKT with GTDI, and this time you get a 3.5-liter 24-valve GTDI V-6 twin-turbocharged unit producing 365 horsepower and 350 lb.-ft. of torque. As mentioned previously, it utilizes the same transmission as the standard Lincoln MKT, but this time intelligent all-wheel drive replaces front-wheel drive for extra capability and surefootedness.
Features and Equipment
It would be a major disappointment to find a car billed as a luxury model lacking in features and equipment and the latest technology, but there are no worries in that direction with the 2017 Lincoln MKT. Standard equipment includes: the Sync 3 infotainment system with an 8.0-inch screen, a 10-speaker audio system, keyless entry, remote start, heated and cooled 12-way power-adjustable front seats, ambient interior lighting, keyless ignition with MyKey, a power liftgate, a large fixed-panel panoramic sunroof, a rear spoiler and 19-inch alloy wheels.
